As you can see in the pics, the spare tire mount is kind of ghetto. The idea with the actual tie down is pretty cool but there was some difficulty in getting it off when tightened down good. Also the tire was resting on the window, not very cool. During the tear down of the old set up I designed a new one that should look a lot cleaner and also work very smoothly. I also will be looking for a way to utilize the space that's behind the tire. More pics of the project to come.
