Some Suburban Stuff...Or Not

As I was looking at the inside of the Suburban today I started to actually realize how much stuff was added to the interior of this thing that is really not that necessary. Just sitting in the front seat I see several violations. There's one of those long rear view mirrors that almost reaches from door to door and has multiple mirrors on it. On the bottom of the dash there's a random light near the shifters and a button to an oooga horn that just buzzes, an actual KC brand light switch that I'm sure is not hooked up to anything and multiple screws tying in ground wires. There is one thing on there that I kinda like but it looks ugly and it's a wiper delay module/control. I may have to put that outa sight, we'll see. Then there's a switch to the rear A/C unit which leads us to the rear and the pics. After layin down in the back for a while I began to notice how ghetto the ac unit was. I kinda remember, when my sister was first buying it, that the guy said he put in the rear A/C unit. I assumed it was an aftermarket thing that was built to fit this model but am now convinced that it was taken out of a newer model and screwed into place. As you can see in the previous post about the spare tire, the factory spare tire whole was covered up. I thought it was just because the aftermarket spare was too big to fit in there...I was wrong. The previous owner ran the hoses to the unit through the tub by cutting an enormous hole in the side of the tub and they come up behind that plastic cover you see in the pic below. Ghetto! It's gota go! I'll patch the tub up and convert it to storage to get some good use out of it. Also on the chopping block is the two huge speakers that hang from the roof. Doing all of this will allow me to eventually install a headliner.

This plywood box is also something that will be going. I like the idea but not the product.
